A celebration of dances stemming from the hiphop culture in all its forms, origins, and contemporary echoes: welcome to the second edition of the HYPE OCC festival, curated by camin aktion.
Performances, dance conference, jam, documentary film, workshops, professional gathering: these dances invite you to watch, admire, participate, and share.
The HYPE OCC festival is a creation by camin aktion.
The 2024 edition is organized in partnership and co-produced by camin aktion, L’Estive – the national theatre of Foix and Ariège, and Casa Musicale Perpignan.
The regional dimension aligns with the shared momentum of RHOCC – the Occitanie hiphop network. All three partners are members of the Occitanie Dance Network.
L’Estive, the national theatre of Foix and Ariège, produces the festival in connection with its Block Party. In Perpignan, the festival is organized by Casa Musicale with the support of the City of Perpignan, the Pyrénées-Orientales county, the Occitanie Region, the DRAC Occitanie, the Pyrénées-Orientales Prefecture, and the Pyrénées-Orientales Family Allowance Fund. The Montpellier edition is supported by the Occitanie Region, the Hérault county, and the Regional Directorate for Youth, Engagement, and Sports, and is hosted at the Théâtre d’O as well as our partners Halle Tropisme and Cinema Utopia.
