Sonance is the first creation by Anaïs Mauri and Germain Zambi, an emblematic duo of today’s krump scene.
Anaïs Mauri and Germain Zambi form one of the most iconic duos in Krump dance, a discipline born in the 2000s in the disadvantaged communities of Los Angeles and popularized by David LaChapelle’s 2005 film Rize.
They are renowned with their names Queen Naab, Queen Rucboi or Silent for Anaïs, and Twin Sniper or Samo for Germain. Together, they embody what this dance holds most powerfully: a blend of revolt and love.
Born respectively in Italy and in Congo, Anaïs and Germain found in France, at the age of 10, a home where their art could grow.
Naturally reserved, these two young dancers now give their bodies total freedom to tell the world what their words will never be able to express.
Nourished by new musical influences and their life experiences, they are ready to enter this new chapter of their artistic journey.
How do those who do not speak make themselves heard?
What sound does the complicity of two introverted beings make?
Anaïs and Germain, singular and leading dancers of today’s Krump scene, respond to these questions in this first creation.
Sonance is the effect that spreads when you meet the one who understands you.
Sonance is the silent conversation between two bodies that listen to each other. It is the music that unfolds when harmony is found — the connection that lights up the spectators.
A movement that requires no words, only trust.
Sonance.
Germain Zambi discovered dance through hiphop, but it was Krump that marked a true turning point in his path.
Having practiced this discipline for more than 10 years now, he considers it much more than just a dance style: for him, Krump is a powerful means of expression, a creative outlet, but also a deep link with a living culture and a community.
Always curious and open, he nourishes his practice through other artistic forms, whether urban or contemporary or live music, convinced that each new approach enriches his sensitivity and his choreographic language.
Over the years, Germain has collaborated with several companies and choreographers, among them : Délit de Façade with the work À taille humaine (2021); How Now with Dead Trees Give No Shelter (2022); choreographer David Drouard for the piece MU (2021); Amala Dianor with the acclaimed work DUB (2023).
Commissioned by Philharmonie de Paris (2025), he developed Intimacy with piccolo double bassist Florentin Ginot.
Anaïs Mauri was born and raised in Italy, in Bellagio, a small village on Lake Como.
She began dancing at a very young age, following the passion that her older sister and her mother had nurtured for a long time.
From the age of 4, she trained in classical dance, then modern dance and hiphop. Her village school quickly became too small for her and she moved with her parents to Paris at the age of 10.
In France, she discovered Krump in 2016 with Naab: it was love at first sight, and it never left her. This dance fascinated her and became her main means of expression.
She became a recognized dancer within the Krump and all-style community, winning several renowned battles in France and abroad, such as Fusion Concept, Illest Battle, Royal Rumble International, and the Nike Own the Floor battle.
Avec sa sœur Dafne Bianchi, she develops the duet La Breva (2026).
