Forum réfugiés is the State-designated operator for implementing the SAFIR 34 program.

SAFIR is a program based in Béziers and Montpellier, designed for refugee women who need support in their journey toward professional integration.

Its aim is to help participants re-engage with professional activity through strengthened social connections, practicing French, and discovering new activities and key local resources.

To achieve this, participants receive individual socio-professional support, attend workshops related to employment and training, and take part in a range of social and cultural activities such as sports, theatre, dance, and gardening.

A tailored program with mother-child activities is also provided for participants with young children, along with support in accessing childcare.

No French language level is required to join the program.

The engagement contract lasts six months and must be the participant’s main activity during that period.

These workshops are led by Siaka Coulibaly, a Burkinabé choreographer based in Montpellier. As the dance lead for the #JeSuis sociocultural program run by camin aktion, he has developed a sensitive and inclusive approach tailored to vulnerable and displaced populations.
