Montpellier M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e M\u00e9tropole<\/strong> runs the<\/span> <\/span>Impulsions<\/em><\/a><\/span> residency program, which supports performing artists based in the metropolitan area.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Siaka Coulibaly<\/a><\/span> is hosted in July and August, first at the former Bishop’s Palace (ancien \u00c9v\u00each\u00e9) in Montpellier, then in a natural outdoor space in the town of Jacou. The residency provides an opportunity to deepen the choreographic writing of his site-specific creation Soubw\u00e9r\u00e9<\/em><\/a><\/span>. His research focuses on soundscapes, dramaturgy, spatial relationships, and audience engagement.<\/p>\n During a recent trip to Burkina Faso, the choreographer collected sound and visual materials that now serve as raw elements in the development of new connections for this public space performance.
