camin aktion is a production office and creative agency with social impact, founded in 2009.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Since summer 2026, a partnership agreement has strengthened our shared dynamic with the Agora, Cit\u00e9 internationale de la danse<\/a><\/strong>, in Montpellier, which now hosts our office. We maintain our ties with Halle Tropisme, where we had been based since it opened in 2019: our research space on the body and movement, La F\u00e9licit\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>, remains at the Ateliers Tropisme.<\/span><\/p>\n The organisation supports companies, collectives and individual artists<\/strong> in the performing arts, with a strong affinity for dance \u2014 here, a focus on the dances of today, on aesthetics rooted in hiphop culture and related forms.<\/span><\/p>\n For these artists, art and culture are vehicles of emancipation and social connection. They engage with diverse audiences, build lasting transmission work, and question the ideas that shape our world today and tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n They develop innovative forms<\/strong> \u2014 for the stage, for public space, for natural settings or in situ \u2014 nourished by art film, visual arts and architecture. Specific formats are offered to school audiences by artists committed to arts and cultural education.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n <\/span>In a logic of pooling resources,<\/strong> we make available to them the know-how and experience accumulated by our team over nearly thirty years, well before camin aktion was founded, with a deep knowledge of the cultural sector, of theatres, festivals and companies. La F\u00e9licit\u00e9 is open to them as a space for research and for rehearsing short forms.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.8″ hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n camin’cubator<\/a> <\/strong>is a support scheme for emerging artists: newly arrived choreographers building a new artistic and personal path in France, and young choreographers still in training or recently graduated.<\/span><\/p>\n The HYPE OCC<\/a> festival<\/strong>, created in 2023, is a camin aktion initiative. Regional in scope, it celebrates the dances rooted in hiphop culture and their related aesthetics. Built as a network with many partners across Occitanie and spread over five d\u00e9partements, it presents regional, national and international companies: choreographic creations, works in progress, battles, documentary films and video creation, talks, masterclasses and workshops. Depending on each venue’s programming line, music and graffiti also find their place.<\/span><\/p>\n The sociocultural programme #JeSuis<\/a><\/strong>, run by camin aktion since 2020, works for artistic and human mediation, with a strong focus on young people \u2014 in particular unaccompanied minors, refugees, and local youth. Regular cultural outings, year-round artistic practice and the development of performative forms make up its activities, carried out throughout the year. In this way we build lasting bonds with audiences considered distant from cultural provision, to the benefit of the partner venues associated with the programme.<\/span><\/p>\n For the corporate sector<\/strong>, we put our knowledge of the artistic field and our cultural engineering at the service of delegated production, to create bespoke events. Shared values are given body and movement, for an added value in events and communication tailored to each client’s wishes.<\/span><\/p>\n \n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_3″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n <\/span><\/strong>The international dimension is our DNA<\/strong>. Our production team and the artistic teams come from diverse backgrounds and diasporas, with all the intercultural richness and international connections that entails. Strong collaborative ties have been built with the Netherlands and Sweden, Brazil, the Indian Ocean, Burkina Faso and Senegal, the United States and Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n Fifty countries toured<\/strong> across every continent, some twenty cultural cooperation programmes<\/strong> carried out around the world: we build intense cooperative ties and a growing network, meeting a multitude of audiences and a wide diversity of partners.<\/span><\/p>\n Accessibility<\/strong> is a condition of our work, not an add-on. Several of our events \u2014 festival, performances, talks, workshops \u2014 are offered in French Sign Language (LSF), and the creation An Immigrant’s Story<\/em> <\/a>was conceived from the writing stage to be accessible in LSF and through audio description. The #JeSuis programme has long involved the Deaf community in its activities, both as audience and as participants. We work on welcoming people with reduced mobility together with our partner venues.<\/span><\/p>\n camin aktion is a member of the R\u00e9seau HipHop Occitanie (RHOCC)<\/a>,<\/strong> where Dirk Korell sits on the board, and of the R\u00e9seau Danse Occitanie<\/strong> (regional operators).
