camin aktion presents eclectic artists developing cutting-edge works related to the expression of the body, to movement, the relation between arts and to the transgression of borders. Choreographic art is rich in expressions and aesthetics. We don’t limit ourselves to movement. The human communicates his emotions and his visions through his whole being, in a definition reaching beyond the physical body in flesh and blood.<\/p>\n
camin aktion collaborates with companies that cultivate cross-disciplinary dynamics, drawing from a wide range of aesthetics at the intersection of dance, theatre, visual arts, video creation, and fashion. These are artists with plural voices, questioning modes of presentation through dramaturgical approaches that reflect their aesthetics and cultures \u2014 from hiphop to contemporary dance, waacking to afro-urban styles. Based in France and Germany, their work extends to Kenya, Guadeloupe, the United States, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria. The works are created for black box stages, outdoor spaces, in-situ environments, and museums.<\/p>\n
We also produce dance films and act as consultants for documentary projects.<\/p>\n
For other companies, we develop specific collaborations and contribute to the visibility of their work through programming advice for festivals and theatres across Europe.<\/p>\n
With our shared economic model, we support artistic emergence and sustainability. Thus, our cultural entrepreneurship works within the paradigm of the social and solidarity economy.<\/p>\n
