First, a deep dive into traditional dances with workshops led by Danielo Belcher (Haiti) and Moses Olayinka Akintunde (Nigeria), followed by an Afro-urban workshop with Siaka Coulibaly (Burkina Faso). These three choreographic artists are well-known to dance enthusiasts in Montpellier.<\/h3>\n<p>We are taking advantage of Danielo and Moses&#8217; stop in Montpellier\u2014both currently studying at CNDC Angers since September\u2014to offer these unique workshops, blending traditional and urban rhythms with dances from the African continent and the Haitian diaspora. Discover the subtle connections between dances from Nigeria\u2019s three major ethnic groups (Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) and traditional Haitian dances, deeply rooted in West African and voodoo heritage. For\u00a011 years, he trained in\u00a0classical, contemporary, jazz, Haitian folk, and urban dance, alongside salsa and acrobatics. From\u00a02020 to 2022, he studied at\u00a0Epsedanse Montpellier\u00a0under Anne-Marie Porras, specializing in contemporary, jazz, and classical dance.<\/p>\n<p>Selected for an\u00a0ARTE young talents project\u00a0at\u00a0Kampnagel Hamburg, he was featured in a documentary about the initiative.
