Elsa Martine is a singular artist, born in French Guiana, a diversified country situated between Brazil and Suriname. French singer, she creates her own music with a special emotional blend of poetry, melody and rhythm.
Inspired by flamenco dance, Elsa Martine is a sensual and vivace, yet sensitive performer. Her voice is inspired by jazz, escapes into flights of lyricism and dances on traditional, folk and urban rhythms. Her texts are highly poetic, she writes and sings in French, Creole and English.
Her first album, I gen wéy, edited in 2011, is firmly diverse, with a repertory in French and in Creole.
