camin aktion now proudly presents théâtre and music artists. All the expressions of the arts are part of camin’s DNA – just as multi-disciplinary visions and links between different aesthetics. We share this vision with the artists we are happy to work with.
Our associate or presented companies already work with composers for their original stage music, or build stage works with both, dancers and musicians. Spoken word, text material, poetry and acting technics are part of the choreographic creation process. The sculptural aspect often exceed a simple set design, thanks to collaborations with fine- and plastic artists. It is therefore coherent that camin aktion opens to other artistic forms than sole dance: it increases our offer and improves potential opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaborations and new networks.
8 years after a clear focus on choreography, we already included a theatre project with Collectif L.G-S. Now, two music projects join camin aktion: soloist Elsa Martine – poet, singer, composer with her cross-cultural chanson française. And the avant-garde band XAMĀN, directed by Pierre Tereygeol and Matthieu Souchet, creating a unique type of electronic, minimalist and repetitive music with ancestral polyrhythms.
