Kompani Frikar, directed by Hallgrim Hansegård, joined camin aktion as an associate company.

Hallgrim Hansegård was trained in traditional Norwegian dance, halling, and he is awarded as one of its most important representatives.
Within his unique choreographic compositions, he fosters an opening of traditional dance forms towards other dance cultures: hiphop, contemporary, other traditional dances, martial arts…
Music, both traditional and classic, has an important place in his work, musicians form an integral part of his creations.
Hallgrim Hansegård’s works were presented in more than 30 countries. Committed to education, Hallgrim has in charge a training program for young dancers in the field of traditional dance. He directed the choreography for the Youth Olympic Games 2016 in Lillehammer.
With its own creation- and residency space, Frikar develops encounters and cooperations. Touching documentaries and awarded dance films have been realized, namely about a surprising encounter between halling dancers and young kung-fu monks in China.
